I had quite the successful day today, beginning with my mom waking me up to the task of baking some banana bread. It always amazes me that a couple old bananas that have such a black, ugly peel, can be transformed into a treat that people love. In my family, banana bread is always a treat that everyone looks forward to coming home to. I will post the recipe and pictures later this evening of the delicious bread. I met up with some friends to head to the Victoria's Secret Semi-Annual Sale. That store is always such an exciting treat for me, oozing with girlishness. I found an amazing shade of deep plum eyeshadow for only two dollars. I was pleased to say the least. After grabbing some lunch at Panda Express, I headed to the store to pick up supplies to make some cake balls. I got the recipe from Bakerella, a site that I am quickly becoming addicted to. I will show the recipe and pictures of my adventure with this new treat. Now, time to relax with my family. More to post later!

Current Read: Almost French

This book is a delicious tale of an Australian woman and her adventures in Paris. It is intriguing to attempt to understand the complexity of the French culture, but this book captures the spirit of the lifestyle. This book is a fun romance, as well as a great cultural read. It helped me brush up on my former days of speaking French will small references to the language throughout the book. Definitely an inspirational tale about feeling like an outsider.  Rating: 3/5 Almost French is by Sarah Turnbull. You can find this book at Barnes and Noble for $13.
